Philippa Robinson – Author Bio
Philippa Robinson is a British author of romantic science fiction, speculative fiction, and fantasy, writing stories that blend high-stakes ideas with emotional intensity and complex, character-driven narratives.
She grew up an army brat, moving frequently but always with boxes of books for company. Science fiction and fantasy became a constant; worlds she could return to, reshape, and eventually begin creating for herself.
Philippa studied English Language and Literature at university and has been writing since her teens. Her work spans poetry and long-form fiction, with a particular focus on immersive world-building, morally complex characters, and stories that explore the tension between control, identity, and connection.
Her science fiction series, The Silent Systems, explores corporate power, human adaptation, and survival at the edges of known space. The first novel, Demeter, introduced the world, with Kephri-9 continuing the series and expanding its scope. Further instalments are currently in development.
She is also the author of Covet, a dark fantasy novel and the first in a planned trilogy, blending romance, impossible choices, and ancient power. She is currently pursuing traditional publication for the series while continuing to develop its sequels.
When she’s not writing, Philippa works in her family’s landscaping business in the North of England, where she lives with her partner and son. Her writing is driven by a love of immersive storytelling and the enduring question: what if?
